What is fogging?
Fogging is the process of applying chemical disinfectants to an area by way of a fog or mist. A fogging machine is used to produce a fog like mist of tiny droplets of a sanitising solution. Fogging is the ideal way for fighting COVID-19 Coronavirus and other airborne pathogens as it kills 99.99% of these.
Why use fogging?
Fogging allows you to protect your family, employees, pupils and clients by ensuring areas of heavy footfall and touch points are decontaminated and allows you to have peace of mind that your space is safe for those that enter it.
Chemical fogging is the most efficient and effective method for cleaning, disinfecting and decontaminating whole rooms as it enables difficult to reach places to be thoroughly disinfected.
Where can fogging be done?
Fogging can be used in homes, offices, schools, gyms, dentists, doctors, vets, nurseries, hotels, shops, restaurants, warehouses, factories, airports, hospitals, care homes, public transport vehicles, personal or fleet vehicles and other public places.
What cleaning agents do we use at Smiths Cleaning Services?
The safe non bleach formula we use leaves treated surfaces safe for human contact and kills pathogenic viruses in under 5 minutes.
It has been independently tested to 2020 European Standard BS EN 14476, BS EN 1276 & BS EN 13697 and is effective against enveloped viruses which includes coronaviruses.
How long does it take before I can re-enter a decontaminated space?
Once the fogging process has been completed, we recommend allowing between 30 and 60 minutes before re-entering the space to allow the droplets to settle out of the air and onto the surfaces.
